RBD Project Tour - Buttermilk Homestead - Shadow Stars

 

I was fortunate enough to be able to use Stacy West's new collection, Buttermilk Homestead for my newest quilt pattern, Shadow Stars.

Stacy West's new collection, Buttermilk Homestead, will be available soon at your favorite quilt shops. The collection is all about a cozy homestead. The collection includes a a bucolic landscape panel which shows the best of country life. The color palette of the collection is earthy with shades of midnight, ginger, hickory and goldenrod.

I choose to use midnight, hickory and goldenrod along with a Confetti Cotton background of Vanilla.

I think it turned out very reminiscent of a collection that might be used about the same time frame as that family heirloom of a hand caned and carved rocking chair from the mid 1800's. 

Shadow Stars quilt pattern is an interesting pattern as it looks as if the main star has a shadow outlined in midnight. The is currently available in my Etsy shop.
